NSCIP Achievements
- NPSCMP delivered the NSCIP project successfully in 2015-2017, in other to ensure proper and targeted implementation of her objectives in procurement and Supply Chain Management
- The Deloitte report in Dec 2018 emphasized the success of the NSCIP project of the global community
- NPSCMP put Nigeria on the global map as the only country out of about 20 African countries that has achieved integration. Based on this, TGF commissioned a case study on Nigeria to study the process of integration. Key stakeholders were interviewed for the documentary PSH, CCM, Donors, Partners, NSCIP project staff, public health programs.
- NPSCMP successfully implemented the PSM portion of the RSSH grant 2019-2020
- We met and exceeded our target and expected deliverables and also out performed other SRs on the RSSH grant
- We established a National logistic management database; Nigeria Health Logistics Management Information System (NHLMIS), which has been linked to a National Service data tool; District Health Information System (DHIS 2.0), to ensure end -to-end data visibility across all program
- Developed the maiden National Health Product Supply Chain Strategy and Implementation Plan 2021-2025
- Developed a Harmonized Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for logistics Management of Pharmaceutical and other health products
- Health Logistics Integration at National level
- Optimization of Supply Chain at federal and state (across all health programs)
- Set up of the National Warehousing Advisory Committee (NWAC)
- Costed budget and plan for the rehabilitation of FMS, Oshodi through support of the Global Fund
- Warehousing and Distribution network design completed for the northwest and south-south zones
- Development/Dissemination of National Quality Assurance Policy and National Supply Chain Management Policy
- Conducted targeted Procurement Supply Chain mgt (PSM) trainings for building the capacity of FMOH (at least 52 states)/SMOH program officers
- Sensitization of SMOH gate-keepers to own, drive and invest in the distribution of medicines to the last mile
- Developed mechanisms for mentoring service providers at state levels while providing them with necessary tools to effectively supervise the lower levels.
- Built capacity of states to sustain on-going integration efforts in case of disruption or termination of donor support
- Introduce a system to improve visibility and transparency in inventory, warehousing and distribution management of products i.e. QSSR and NSSR
- Strengthening of relevant instruments/structures at national and state levels such as Steering committees, National/zonal PSM TWGs, and their sub-committees
- Mobilized a network of supply chain staff, International partners (over 410 persons met). Engaged over 700 decision makers on KPIs and baseline PSM parameters.
- Approval and endorsement by the Federal Government, Global Fund and other partners for Nigeria to extend the integration project to the remaining 23 states of Nigeria
- Sensitized and introduced Integration to remaining 23 states of the country with over 1,400 decision makers encountered.
- Conducted Feasibility Studies and data analysis on Facility Audit Capability across the FCT
